Grandpa Loves his KatieMae

Grandpa loves his KatieMae and KatieMae loves her Grandpa Judd! Yesterday KatieMae came down with an earache and was just crying and crying. Russ and I tried everything that we could think of and it was not giving her any relief. I felt so bad for her. We called dad and asked if he could help give her a blessing. They came right over soon as he walked in the door she wanted her Papa she snuggled right up to him and calmed down. We couldn't believe it! Forget all the medicine and everything else we were trying she just needed her Grandpa to make it all better. HE loved on her quite a long time and it totally melted my heart. I loved it so much I had a few little tears in my eye. I love the fact that they have such a strong bond between the two of them they have had since she was first born. There is something so special between the two of them and I just absolutely love sitting back watching it and feeling it. Grandpa loved on her for a while then gave her a blessing to help her ear to heal. Afterward they visited for a while than took KatieMae back to their house to give Russ and I a little break. Dad took her right home and put her in his BIG tub and filled it up with bubbles for her. Mom said it was awesome since dad did it all on his own she walked int he bathroom to see KatieMae playing in this huge tub with lots of bubbles and Grandpa sitting on the toilet reading his paper carrying on a conversation with her. I absolutely love it!

Snowman time!

Grandpa Judd is the most awesome Grandpa! He loves his grand kids so much and it is amazing the things he is so willing to do for and with them! Jacob asked him if he would help him build a snowman and sure enough he did! Nikalya also built one with him about a week later but I didn't get any pictures of it I was down sick. I hope my kids know how wonderful of grandparents they have and how blessed they are to have them in their lives. They have so much love for the kids and it always amazes me to what extent they love them. We are so blessed to live next door to them and to have them in our lives everyday!

KatieMae's 2nd Birthday!

KatieMae had her second birthday on January 14th. We had a little cake ad Ice Cream party at our house for her that included family and a few close friends. Grandma and Grandpa Jensen gave us a good laugh the day before her birthday they showed up unexpected I teased them by saying "You know her birthday is tomorrow right"? Mom got the most shocked looked on her face and turned to dad and said "were a day early"! I laughed so hard! Than mom made them most hilarious statement I ever heard out of her mouth "Well my pill box said it was Thursday". I laughed so hard when I told Russ he replied "So what day did she overdose on"? And of course the jokes just went on and on from there. We had a good time with them though KatieMae opened her presents from them and than we went out to eat dinner. When we got home from dinner Uncle Mark was sitting on our steps waiting for us to give his birthday gift to her as well since he couldn't make it on her real birthday. (At least he knew he was on the wrong day). We had a wonderful visit with him and he even played hide-n-go-seek with the kids. The kids absolutely loved having him over. On KatieMae's birthday Jacob was so cute he informed me now that it was her birthday that Grandma and Grandpa Jensen and Uncle Mark could come over. He was a bit puzzled when they never showed up. Aunt Arica and Shaun and her kids came up for her birthday and slept over. It was a lot of fun. Arica had a blast with KatieMae they just played and played and laughed so hard it was great!

Parowan Birthday Ball

Nikayla participated in her first Parowan Birthday ball! She was so dang cute. She got to dance with Logan Gardner which she was totally excited about. They were so cute doing the pretzel together. And I absolutly loved it when they were finished with the program and saw Nikayla and her friends walking across the gym with their arms all wrapped around each other. Yes I had to chase after them to get the picture. But she never knew so she couldn't be embarrassed! After wards we treated her to an ice cream treat at Dairy Freeze.

Just go to BED!

So the other night Russ and I got the kids down and we actually went to bed at the same time! That was a miracle in itself! I am usually out cold by the time Russ gets to bed not to mention that I am out cold soon as my head hits the pillow. Anyways we actually got to bed at the same time and we were visiting. I didn't think we were being that loud but I guess we were. Nikayla woke up and came stumbling in our room. I asked her what she needed and she replied "You guys are being to loud, you need to stop talking and just go to bed"! We laughed so hard apologized told her we would try to be good parents and good to sleep.

Catch up on funny stories

So I have been way to busy to get a chance to catch up on a few funny stories. So here are some of them for I am sure I have forgotten some.

1) I was in the middle of getting my hair done at the hair place when i got a phone call from Nikayla's teacher telling me that she had cut her ear and they couldn't get it to stop bleeding. She wasn't sure how she cut it but she was up at the front office with the principal. So I told my hair dresser that I had to go. So I zoomed right over to her school. And sure enough there she was sitting in the front office with her principal holding her ear. I asked Nikayla what had happened and she replied "I could hear a squeaky noise, I was trying to listen to my scissors to see if they were making the squeaky noise." All of the adults laughed and told her that she was cute. I guess when she was trying to hear the squeaky noise she put the siccors right up to her ear and cut it while opening and shutting them. Her teacher promised her that she would oil all her siccorrs up over the weekend so there would be no more squeaky scissors. Mrs Mathews told me that she has at least one child every year cut their hair with scissors but never had she had a kid cut their ear or draw blood with them. I laughed and said only my kids could break a record like that and warned her of Jacob the walking tragedy of owies to happen.

2) The other day I was sitting in my room when Jacob waltzed in and asked me if I remember that time when I had a baby in my tummy with all seriousness. I replied "yes I do remember that." He got a really big grin on his face and replied "That was cool"! I laughed and hugged him and told him he was cute. (And no that was not an announcement)

3) So after Chirstmas break Jacob has had a really hard time going back to school. One day I gave him my CTR ring to take care of for me while he was at school to help him out. I forgot about it till later that day and asked him if he still had it. He told me no. SO i figured it fell out of his pocket when he was playing in his room and it would show up. Well after a week of it not showing up I figured it was gone I was a little bummed becasue I had bought it with my won money when I 13 but figured I couldn;t be mad since I gave it to a three year old to hold on to for me. Well I moved on and this morning when I went to drop of Jacob at school. Lilly's mom stopped me and held up my CTR ring and asked if it was mine. I got all excited and asked her if she found it outside of the school or something. She laughed and then told me that Lilly had it she asked her where she got it from and she replied "Jacob gave it to me at school". I laughed so hard. Than I had two realizations that one my boy is already giving a girl a ring at the age of three and two I must not be his number one in his life anmymore if he was willing to give his mom's ring to another girl! So I went over to the drug store and picked up a little 2 dollar ring for Jacob to give to the girl since I felt bad she had to give the ring back that was a "gift". We will see how it goes when I go pick him up from school.

The correct way to wear a shirt!

So every time we do laundry KatieMae is right in the thick of it and think she has to model every single piece of clothing. In this picture she is modeling her daddy's shirt. She was defintly hamming it up for the camera! I couldn't stop laughing at her. My sides were hurting so bad after my sweet almost two year old daughter was strinking poses for the camera. What can I say when your mom is into photography it is only natural for the kids to love being in front of the camera.
